Two graphics cards pros and cons?

what are the pros and cons of running two graphics cards in your pc simultaneously?

Two graphics cards pros and cons?
Well let me just cover some of the basics. It has been a while since I done anything with SLI. The use of 2 cards. It is my understanding that both cards have to be identical. Same make and model. Although, I have not done anything with it for some time. Simply put the pros are easy to see. You get twice of what you have before. Just like rem for example. Since graphic cards have ram on it you double your ram. Also look at the processing speed of the card. It is kinda like having a dual core graphics card in one sense. Now the cons are not a lot. One some times setting it up does not work as well as you would like. If you have a low end card and you do it the performance will only be standard. However, it may be cheaper to do it then getting a high end card in some cases. Another problem is most store bought computers do not have 2 pcie slots. The ones that do of course can be done. Another problem is going to be size in your tower. Does your tower have enough space to hold them ? Heating is a concern. Since high end cards have a fan on them each, it may be wise to get a bigger tower or some extra fans in side.

Either way 2 cards is a great thing. You just have to look at your setup your finances and what performance and dollar amount you want to spend. Good Luck
