Graphics cards? Whats the difference between PCI and PCI-E?
Well, in reality PCI, AGP, PCI-E are not interchangable. What you could do is to refer at your motherboard manual and see if you have an AGP slot and istall an AGP card at the most. And no there is no way to instal a PCI-express on a PCI slot, don even try it you migth damage the card or the motherboard.
Reply:Physically different slots, not match.

PCI-E is way faster, too.
Reply:No PCI is an old technology and has nothing to do with the newest PCI express (PCI-E).

The order of graphics card by technology goes PCI %26gt; AGP %26gt; PCI-E.
Reply:PCI would be the slot where u put the sound cards, modems and such..... they are kinda used long time ago....

as for PCIE its meant for latter technology of video card slot.... replacing the AGP

the difference would be PCIE is meant for Video card only
