Don't be confused by memory. Memory is important in graphics cards, but there are many more important things. Take for example, the ati x1600 pro; 512mb, good price, but bad graphics. More important is the memory speed, clock speed, number of pixel pipelines, texture units, and highest version of Direct X supported.

I assume that this is what you're asking, but your question wasn't too clear.
Reply:Since you're asking what are the GRAPHICS like on cards, then my answer would be, very little, most, if not all video cards currectly run on a specification run my Microsoft (Direct X) in order to produce it's graphics, so there wouldn't be much differences between them.





As for performance, that would be a different story.

memory can be important but you also want to be loking at the core and memory speds.





Why would the card be '64mb up to 512mb'?


They come with a fixed amount of memory, it is not variable.


Although they do go upto 512mb and more a 512mb graphics card is not cheap, I paid just over £300 for one a while back.





Unless ofcourse it is an onboard graphics chip you are refering to - which in that case would use a portion of your main memory as its video memory, such graphics chips are totaly unsuitable for anything but the very oldest games, they are not realy made for gaming atall.
