Do graphics cards have to be put into your comp?
The first thing I ever did to a PC was change a video card, it's easy. http://peripherals.about.com/od/videogra...

This link will get you started. Pay attention to the PSU requirements when choosing a new card.
Reply:go to best buy you can buy and thea will put it in
Reply:no you don't. i built myself a new computer last week and the motherboard has an integrated 64 mb graphics card, it shares its memory with the RAM. now most of the motherboards have integrated video cards so you don't have to worry about buying a new vid card
Reply:1) don't let best buy install it

2) yes you need to install it

integrated is not that well looking graphic wise

You have to see what type of slots you have, ie AGP, PCI, or PCI-E.

Once you figure it out, then you look for the type of card, so AGP Graphic card. Then install it

Google your computer and see what type of inputs it can have.
Reply:it is so simple... a 7 year old could do it...

yes they do have to be put into the computer... just open it up.. remove the old one, and put in the new one... then (most computers) ur computer should reconize that there are new software installed to do everything....

its so big, its hard to miss.... and they have different kinds so be sure to buy the correct one.... graphics card usually come with its own fan now too... its own built in fan, i know amazing...

any more problems just ask..
Reply:Yes you have to open up your computer case (the CPU is your processor [chip] ) in order to add a graphics card.

You can do it yourself, or if you are not comfortable with that, you can have a computer repair shop do it for you.
