when dualing graphic cards in a desktop which one do you hook your monitor up to or how do you configure them to work through one port??
How do you hook up dual graphics cards?
your motherboard has to be crossfire or sli.
that allows the cards to be used. its just 2 pci-e slots. then with ATI, you have the crossfire cable to connect both togther. with Nvidia you have the SLI cable to hook both togther. On both ati and nvidia, that connection is made inside the computer from the cards. not the outside.
Reply:Are you using ATI or Nvidia?
I only know Nvidia so when you enter windows right click on desktop and go into NVIDIA CONTROL PANAL. From there you can go through the settings and see if its working.
The first PCI-e port is your main one. Also make sure you have the SLI bridge on. Wont work without.
