Difference between Mobility and desktop graphics cards?

What's the difference in performance between the ATI Radeon X1600 and the ATI Mobility Radeon X1600? I know the Mobility is intended for laptops, but I can't find any information about a difference in performance. My assumption is that the Mobility would be scaled down a bit in performance, but I don't know for sure. Is there any official word on this?

Difference between Mobility and desktop graphics cards?
The Mobility X1600 is essentially the same as its desktop counterpart and has the following features:

12 Pixel Pipes

5 Vertex Pipes

4 Texture Units

4 Render Back-Ends

128 Max. Threads

Core clock: 470

Memory clock: 470

The primary difference here is that the desktop card is clocked slightly higher with a core clock of 580MHz and a memory clock at 780MHz. You can read all about this over at AnandTech, http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.a...
Reply:No problem, sorry, I don't know of any signifigant difference between the mobility version and desktop version as far as the real world is concerned. Report Abuse
