What is the best graphics cards?

What is the best graphics card you can buy? Also, what is the best processor you can buy? How much cooling would you need to run all of this too?

What is the best graphics cards?
The best really depends on what you want do to with it. I do a lot of gaming so I really enjoy my e-GeForce 9800GX2. It requires something like 600 watts of power to run; my case has 4 fans in it to keep everything nice and cool.

My favourite processor would be the AMD Athlon 64 FX (best processor for gaming in Linux.) If you do gaming in Windows, Intel core 2 extreme is your better option.
Reply:Intel have the Core 2 Duo which is top of the line, and AMD i think they are trying to come back with the Phenom chip.

Best graphics card would be the Nvidia 9800GT but the Radeon 3870X2 has two cores and is a top product too.
Reply:There are no graphics cards in existence that can max out Crysis with no lag. Sorry.

Here are the two best graphics cards in existence:

However, you can get equal performance on the cheap if you buy this processor and overclock it:

Reply:You can buy a graphics card up to 500 dollars. The more you spend the faster it goes. The best processors are quad cores, AMD and Intel are both good--I have an AMD Phenom 9850, it's great! You can get an extra large cpu cooling fan from 30-50 dollars.
Reply:Nvidia Geforce 8600
Reply:NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
Reply:The "best" would probably be the high end video cards. A good example of a high end or best video card would be the 9800 Gx2. This would be the "best" for people that play video games and video editing. This would not be the "best" for people on a budget.

Processors I would recommend anything made by Intel. I do not recommend AMD. Core 2 Processors are good it just depends on what speed you get. The high end Intel Core 2's are the 8000 class.

and e8500

2.) intel core 2 extreme

3.) air cooling works fine, jsut get a new heatsink and fan for the processor, the one that ships with it normally sucks. i use liquid cooling tho
