I have a 8800 gtx graphics card and if i where to get another to have SLI is there really that much of a performance increase than what im getting now for the HIGH expense of 2 cards? so im just asking is it really worth it?

I dont think you will need that much video ram, and if you do it will be very seldom. For the cost of that card, I think you will be wasting your money. One should be plenty.
