As graphics cards get newer and better do you think they will use more or less power?

Asking because my power supply is only 300 watts and I want a good card like the 8800gts but that requires 450. Already looked at the 8600gtx and i want something a little better. Thanks.

um the ati radeon 3870 only uses a six pin adapter. Unlike teh nvidia.

processors keep getting smaller, less consuming


so do mother board, energy efficent


but for some reason, video cards just keep getting bigger and more aggressive


and thanks to nvidia we've got a 2ft tall video card ,
