I have more then enough memory and a Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator 950 card and still can't get it to work. Second Life says cards with Intel are not supported.
Why doesn't Second Life support more graphics cards?

Reply:That graphics card doesn't meet the required specifications. You need an Intel 945GM. Granted you have something better, but it looks like Second Life isn't supporting anything higher. Check the source, notice how next to the Intel 945GM it doesn't say "or better". I suggest upgrading your graphics card. Talk to your local computer store if you want help with that.
