Which one of the following graphics cards is the best and how much does it cost?
Well, its basically a toss up between ATI and nVidia, depends on personal preference, I guess. I have an nVidia 6800 GT that works great, I got it on ebay for 50 bucks, and it was @ 300 retail when new. Basically, the higher the number, the newer model of card, nVidia has the 4,5,6,7, and now 8 series of card (geforce 4, 5700, 6800, 7600, 8800 etc.), usually the higher the number the better the card. You want to look for a few things when buying a card. Make sure it has DirectX 9.0c capability, Pixel Shader 2.0, and at least 256 MB of ram. You will not be displeased with those specs. After that, with the speed of the card, it basically comes down to how much you want to pay. Hope this helps!!
Reply:I have used Ati for a long time and alwayz had an issue come up recently i bought a Nvidia 6800 XT and its amazing and it cost me 130 for 256mb
