What is the difference between agp, pci and pci express graphics cards? Which one is better for gaming?

Everyone is telling different things...I want to know which one is better for gaming and which one should i get?

What is the difference between agp, pci and pci express graphics cards? Which one is better for gaming?
PCI :the oldest version of slots for graphic using.(I think you can't find any graphic card to support this slot)

AGP: this slot works with 2X / 4X / 8X speeds .(it will work individually and doesn't use your computer memory)

PCI Express :this slot works in 2 mode ;

in the first mode :Speed (8X) ,and it will not use from your Ram(memory of your computer ) and works like AGP8x.

in the second mode :Speed (16x) ,and it will use from your memory for faster working so if you dont have a powerful memory (RAM) in you computer you should use 8x mode.
Reply:PCI is oldest and slowest.

AGP is faster but the newest

is PCI express, which is much

better for gaming. All

depends on what the motherboard

takes tho. Better check first.
Reply:pci express is the newest and best and will replace AGP which replaces pci, make sure your computer has the appropriate slot before buying one
Reply:if you have a good pc with 1 or 2 gb ram on it use a ATI graphics cards good for pc gaming and watching dvd movie on ur pc
Reply:PCI express is the best one..however it depends on what slot is present on your system board ( Motherboard). Check the spesifications of the system board slot and the power supply required for the card that you would like to attach to the system.. Go a head and buy the card.. enjoy gaming!!!
Reply:PCI express is the best one.. they are built for gaming.
Reply:to trash the PCI card and use PCI express, but make sure your motherboard/mainboard have the relative slots.
Reply:PCI Graphics cards are older and slower

AGP Graphics cards are newer and faster

PCI-E Graphics cards are newest and fastest

Buy a PCI-E Card but make sure your motherboard has a PCI-E slot

If you don't have a PCI-E slot, you probably have an AGP one.

I have an AGP 4x slot, using an 8x card, and I get 60 FPS on Counter-Strike Source(remember its only running at half its power)
